A WORD FROM THE CHAIR

MWB PIERRE-MARIE ADAM

My Dearest Brothers,

It is with great pleasure and quite some pride that I can announce the birth of "Voices from the Obediences", the newsletter of theConfederation of United Grand Lodges of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.

The Executive Board had been working on this project for a quitesome time and thanks to the commitment and determination of many devoted brothers, it is now brought to light.

This newsletter will not only be an information tool towards the Obediences, but also a powerful vehicle for the broader promotion of our values and actions.

Therefore, I would like to thank all those who contributed to this creation.

Your hard work, dedication and passion are the driving force behind this new and exciting adventure. Together, we have succeeded in laying out the foundations for a tool that will quickly become key
within our Confederation as I see it.

Fraternally yours.

Become a member and immerse yourself in the rich tradition of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, fostering unity, wisdom, and global brotherhood.

MWB JEAN-PASCAL ENGLER

My Dearest Brothers

Our Fraternity rests on steady beacons: Tradition, Humanism and Spirituality and this newsletter is designed to reflect these fundamental principles. It will enable us to strengthen the links between all Members of our Confederation, to share our experiences and initiatives and to promote the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite throughout the world.

We live in a time when information and communication are crucial. It was therefore essential that ICUGL should have effective means for the spreading of our views, projects and achievements. This newsletter will be one of our common platforms, alongside with the website being finalised currently (www.ciglu.net). Both tools are aimed to enable each Brother to express himself and contribute to the collective enhancement of our community.

I do invite you to take full ownership of the newsletter versions to come, read them carefully; ensure regular contributions fed from all your initiatives; share them with pride among Brethren in your Obedience: in a word, make it a space of information and reflexion.

Using it to celebrate our jointed successes and the learning arisen from our challenges should abound to our intended progresses along the path of Wisdom towards the Light.

In times when the world is in such an acute need of Fraternity and Solidarity, let us try to render our newsletter a beacon of Hope, a living testimony to our shared commitment to the values that unite and define us all.

Fraternally yours.
